PRELIMINARY APPLICATION will be accepted for the 2026 Summer School. HOWEVER, SUBMITTING A PRELIMINARY APPLICATION DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE COURSES WILL DEFINITELY BE OFFERED. The decision on whether the courses for which a Preliminary Application has been made will be opened will be made by the Summer School Coordination Board in accordance with Article 7 of the Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Summer School Regulation.

 

COURSES WITH HOSPITAL AND WORKPLACE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE OFFERED IN THE SUMMER SCHOOL.

 

Detailed information and documents to guide and inform our university students and guest students who wish to take courses from the summer school are included in the attached files. It will be beneficial for all our students to review the attached files before starting the PRELIMINARY APPLICATION process.

 

All courses of “Atatürk Principles and Revolution History I – II”, “Turkish Language I -II” and “Foreign Language (English) I – II” at our university will be conducted through distance education, while ALL OTHER COURSES WILL BE TAUGHT IN PERSON . The MIDTERM AND FINAL EXAM for the “Atatürk Principles and Revolution History I – II”, “Turkish Language I -II” and “Foreign Language (English) I – II” courses conducted through distance education will be held IN PERSON. The exam format will be determined by the instructor and announced to students in accordance with the established schedule.

 

A 100 STUDENT PRE-REGISTRATION QUOTA has been set for all courses to be offered in the summer school by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. 

 

The courses of Atatürk Principles and Revolution History I-II, Turkish Language I-II, and Foreign Language (English) I-II taught in all academic units will be offered at the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences.

 

The courses taught at the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences, Bucak Business Faculty, and Bucak Zeliha Tolunay Applied Technology and Business School will be combined at the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences.

 

Students applying for the teaching profession courses (Theoretical Courses) to be offered in the summer school will be able to apply from our UNIVERSITY's Faculty of Education, Faculty of Theology, and Faculty of Sports Sciences Physical Education and Teaching Program, as well as students from other universities. Since the teaching practice in the formation program is conducted based on the number of teachers in the relevant fields of schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, preliminary applications from other units of our university will not be accepted. The teaching profession courses taught in the Faculty of Sports Sciences Physical Education and Teaching Program and the Faculty of Theology will be offered in the Faculty of Education. 

 

Students registered in the OPTIONAL FORMATION program conducted at our university will also be able to make a preliminary application for the formation courses offered in the summer school.

 

In the Summer School Preliminary Applications;

In order for MAKÜ students to take a course that is not offered in their registered unit without losing their rights, if it is opened in another unit within the university, they must apply with the application form from https://prg.mehmetakif.edu.tr/YazOkuluBasvuruFormu/?YOBF=MAKU and their application must be accepted by the unit management board decision after their application.

 

If a MAKÜ student has not had their courses opened in the summer school at our university's faculty/college/conservatory/vocational schools, they must apply with the application form from https://prg.mehmetakif.edu.tr/YazOkuluBasvuruFormu/?YOBF=DIGER  to take courses from other university/universities' summer school programs without losing their rights, and their application must be accepted by the unit management board decision after their application.

 

 Students registered at other universities;
 https://obs.mehmetakif.edu.tr/oibs/summer_app/   must create a registration by making a PRELIMINARY APPLICATION from the address. They can also make a PRELIMINARY APPLICATION like MAKÜ students by logging in with their e-government password from https://net.mehmetakif.edu.tr/welcome page as guest students.

 

Our university students and guest students must select courses for PRELIMINARY APPLICATION PROCEDURES through the Student Information System; then, they must deposit the course fee through “Vakıfbank” ATMs or branches using their student numbers and CONFIRM the courses they selected in the PRELIMINARY APPLICATION through the Student Information System. In courses with a quota application, if a decision is made to open the course, MAKÜ students will be prioritized for course registration. The remaining quota for PRELIMINARY APPLICATION course registration will be filled according to the confirmation order of guest students. The course fees deposited by students who are not within the quota will be refunded.

 

If courses that are not opened or dropped due to conflicts in the summer school are not changed, refunds will be made to the bank account number (IBAN number) opened in the name of the students registered in the Student Information System within 20 WORKING DAYS .

 

Payments made for PRELIMINARY APPLICATION for courses that have been decided to be opened in the summer school WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.

 

If students do not have a bank account (IBAN number) opened in THEIR OWN NAMES, REFUND PROCESS CANNOT BE PERFORMED.  Therefore, to avoid delays in course fee refunds, it is very important that our students' IBAN numbers are correct and complete, and that any issues are updated in the Student Information System.

 

 It is strongly announced to all students who will make a PRELIMINARY APPLICATION.
